The work of Lenehan Studios has been featured in several local and national publications including Southern. Living Magazine, Architectural Digest, Town and Country Magazine, Elle Decor, Home & Design, and the Baltimore Sun.
“To pull off the vision for this year’s Idea House, we assembled a talented team from across the South: husband-and-wife duo Mary and Patrick Hatcliff of Hatcliff Construction in Murfreesboro, Tennessee; Bill Holloway and Luke Sippel of Lake and Land Studio in Hattiesburg, Mississippi; Laura Hodges of Laura Hodges Studio in Catonsville, Maryland; and Butch Hamby of Southern Creations Landscaping.
“To infuse the new build with warmth and personality, Laura Hodges filled the home with art, from framed local pieces to ceiling-high murals. She opted for an all-in artful approach in the breakfast room and an upstairs bathroom, commissioning artist Dee Lenehan of Baltimore, Maryland-based Lenehan Studios, to add her handiwork there. Lenehan covered the breakfast room in a mural intended to serve as a softened version of the Tennessee countryside. “When you step into this room, you’re just enveloped by this moment,” says Hodges. In the upstairs bathroom, the artist designed a graphic herringbone-like pattern that mimics wallpaper, but with a more painterly touch.”

Water ways: A design team makes magic in an Ocean City retreat, melding light-filled spaces, stunning bay vistas and a serene, restful vibe
I created this faux finish wall as part of a project in Ocean City, Maryland for Christie Leu Interiors. “The renovated housed conveys a beachy feel. The staircase hugs one wall by the entrance, opposite an accent wall faux painted in textured graduations by Lenehan Studios.”

10 things you didn't know about Dee Lenehan Cunningham, Ellicott City Arts Coalition founder
“After decorative painter and muralist Deanne "Dee" Lenehan Cunningham became aware that other fine artists were also working in Ellicott City, she established Ellicott City ArtWalk in 2013 to allow the public to meet them and explore the arts scene on Main Street. A year later, she founded the Ellicott City Arts Coalition as an alliance of artists and gallery owners, most of whom are still recovering from the July 30 flash flood in historic Ellicott City.”
